A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, in Claflin, Kansas, for Francis Soukup by the Right Reverend James R. Albers, O.S.B., abbot of Saint Benedict's Abbey of Atchison, Kansas. Francis's son, Brother Karel, is a monk of the abbey. Father Terrance Klein, pastor of Immaculate Conception concelebrated the Mass, along with Father Joshua Werth, pastor of Saint Bernard Parish in Ellsworth. A schola of monks from the abbey provided much of the music for the Mass.
