Grandparents' Day at St Joseph

31 JANUARY 2025

Grandparents' Day is always a wonderful end to Catholic Schools Week at Saint Joseph's School, and this year was no exception.  The day begins with the Grandparents attending Mass at 10:30 am with their students.  Instead of the students sitting together, as they would on a normal school day, they sit with their grandparents.  This year Father Klein asked if there were any grandparents there who were also alumni of Saint Joseph's.  There were a number. Father asked them what they felt most helped them about their time at Saint Joseph.  Many said that it was the opportunity to attend Mass regularly, which, interestingly, is what many of our current students say as well.

After Mass everyone went to the parish hall where the cooks, Mrs. Kathy Birzer and Mrs. Marlene Clayton, along with a number of volunteers, had prepared a wonderful luncheon of chicken and noodles, a crowd favorite.  The students also seranaded their grandparents with a special song that they had learned.  It was about how special grandparents are in the lives of their grand children.
