Even the designer, Dennis Habiger, as he once again installed the Easter Baptismal Font, did not know that it is award winning.

Last year The Catholic Aid Society announced a competition for their annual calendar, requesting pictures of the most beautiful baptismal fonts. St. Joseph's entered Dennis' Easter creation, and it was one of twelve from throughout the nation featured in the calendar.

Dennis has created the fountain for several year now along with the aid of Larry Drees.

The water flows out of the church's baptismal font, which is the only piece in the church that dates back to its construction in the year 1900. It then flows into a pool, constructed by Dennis, which is surrounded by stone and flowers, arranged by Donna Mason from N'Bloom. While Dennis' engineering degree is from K-State, his architectural studies were done in Paris, France.
