7 SEPTEMBER 2023
Following her death on August 6th, 2023, Saint Joseph Parish and School announced a memorial campaign, its goal to raise $10,000 and see Sister Noella listed among the "Visionaries" of the school's endowment association. In less than a month $3,500 has been raised toward this goal.
Sister Noel Blick, a Sister Adorer of the Precious Blood, served as principal of Saint Joseph Catholic school for twenty-two years, form 1981-2003.
The Saint Joseph School Endowment Fund contributes more than $6,000 monthly to the operating costs of the school. Without it, the school would not be in existence today, much less be the thriving institution that it is. More than any physical object, a memorial in the fund would continue the good work that Sister Noella did when she was among us.
The goal is high, but it can be met with only 100 of her former students contributing $100 each. It plaque itself would name only Sister Noella, but contributors to the fund, unless they request anonymity, would be published to the parish.
To contribute to the fund, mail your donation to St. Joseph Church, 214 N. Main Street, Ellinwood, KIS 67526. Mark it as a donation to the Sister Noella Memorial Fund. All money contributed will go directly to the fund.
The Saint Joseph School Council is also making a donation to the Adorers of the Precious Blood, the religious order to which Sister Noella belonged in her memory.
