Students in the Eighth Grade Physical Science class were asked to design their own paper airplanes. A contest followed to see whose would go the farthest.
Mr Lashley (of course) won the contest for the fourteenth year in a row.
The students were then asked why none of their planes had flaps on the wings like real airplanes. They then had to form a hypothesis on what would happen if they did, test the hypothesis, analyze the results, draw conclusions and then communicate their results. AKA, they discovered the scientific method.
