The annual spelling bee was held in the parish hall, following the morning Mass.  A large crowd of parents and middle school students attending, looking for a lively contest.  They were not disappointed.  

The winners were Addilyn Joiner in First Place for the second year, followed by her cousin Jackson Joiner in second place.  Emalie Joiner, her sister, took third place.  A bit like the Kansas City Chiefs, a dynasty.

It's always amazing, however, how long some of the youngest kids hold their own with the older ones.
