A call went out for parish volunteers to help with two long delayed, and much needed, projects: cleaning out the garage, which is used for storage, behind the rectory and refurbishing the garden area around the parish grotto.  

As you can see from the photos that follow, a large and enthusiastic crowd of parishioners, of all ages, showed up to help.  The garage had been emptied, cleaned, and restocked within a hour.  The grotto took a bit longer, as a water pipe was struck in digging for the new rose plants.  Fortunately, a plumber was on hand, Immaculate Conception's own Marvin Kirmer!  A patch was quickly made.
