The St. Joseph Catholic School held its annual German Buffet on Sunday, November 3rd. 674 parish and community membersĀ joined the St. Joseph students, staff, and families for homemade sausage, sauerkraut, German potato and three-bean salad, and a wide variety of desserts. Attendance was up approximately 5% from 2018's Buffet.
Another increase from 2018, was the total number of raffle tickets sold. As a major fundraiser for the School, raffle ticket sales are an important part of the fundraiser. 2019's top ticket seller was Lauren Rugan. In total, the students sold 24,899 raffle tickets! Many members of the community were in attendance through the end of the evening to hear if their names were called for prizes in the raffle. The top prize winner was Ed Nemnich! Truly an example of a community effort, the German Buffet is not possible without the support and commitment of all St. Joseph students and their families. But beyond the school, so many parish members offer their financial support, time, and talents to this effort. Thanks to the work of the School Council, students, teachers, and parish supporters, the 2019 German Buffet raised a total of $32,560 in support of St. Joseph Catholic School! A tremendous success!
