The St. Joseph Altar Society met on Wednesday, September 11th in the Parish Center. The Altar Society has served several funeral dinners in the last few months. We wish to thank all the Altar Society members who have brought food for the dinners or volunteered as workers to prepare and serve the dinner. There are three Funeral Dinner Committees, which take turns planning and working the funeral dinners. The Funeral Dinner Committee Chairwomen are:
Group 1: Angie Hammeke, Veanna Rousseau and Joan Drees
Group 2: Marilyn Reichuber and Joy Schloctermeier
Group 3: JoAnn Roth, Marilyn Schartz, and Yvonne Strecker
Group 2 is needing a 3rd woman to volunteer, as it is very helpful to have more than two in the event that one member is unable to help at the time of a funeral. If you would be interested in learning more about volunteering in this important ministry, please contact Kristin Steele, Marilyn Reichuber or Joy Schloctermeier.
New members of the Board were installed at the close of the meeting. Out-going president, Mary Waite, installed Kristin Steele as President, Cheri Doll as Vice President, Rosemary McCrary as Secretary and Diane Nemnich as Treasurer. The next meeting will be in November 13 at 7 pm in the Parish Center. All women of the Parish are invited to attend.
